Downtown San Diego, also referred to as Centre City, is the city center of San Diego, California, the eighth largest city in America. In 2010, the Centre City area itself had a population of more than 28,000. Downtown San Diego serves as the cultural, financial center and central business district of San Diego County.
The Electra condominium complex was created from an existing San Diego Gas & Electric building. The project was completed in 2008 and consists of a full renovation of the original building which houses the entry, atrium and concierge area. The tower was constructed new in 2008 and consists of most of the 248 units within the complex. The building has many amenities that include pool, spa, gym, elevators, steam room, sauna, roof deck on the 5th floor, lounge area with BBQ and fireplace, recreation room. The recreation room and atrium has 60' high ceilings and is truly luxurious. The Electra building is one of the few buildings in downtown San Diego that is currently FHA approved.
